The kiddos wanted to take a trip to the zoo before school started so we chose the hottest day of the week and went. Of course the kids had a great time and thank goodness for the kids section where the kids can get wet. Before we left the kids rode the carousel and as we were waiting I spotted a lizard on the trash can and I showed Autumn when she was done riding and she of course caught it and it is now in her custody. (That was over a week ago.) He is still alive and she enjoys catching flies and crickets to feed her lizard. She received an awesome bug catcher toy from our friend for her Birthday that she uses to catch all her bugs for "Lizzy.". She takes it everywhere she goes just in case there is something to catch! (Thanks Whitney! You made her day!) Great end of the summer activity!
